Purpose Statement:
“Club West Youth Track believes in the teaching of the fundamentals of track and field by age appropriate levels while promoting a team environment. Over the season, the Club
West Youth Track team will participate in a variety of track meets in Santa Barbara and other cities to demonstrate their acquired skills.”
The CLUB’s goals are to encourage and help young people to develop physically, emotionally and socially through their involvement in track and field. They will improve their
physical conditioning as they learn skills related to track and field. They will build a positive self-image as they recognize their individual achievements. They will be part of a team that
encourages and promotes the development of friendships, support and encouragement of fellow athletes, good sportsmanship and a good time.
Any youth in our community who are interested in learning and participating in track and field are encouraged to join. For additional information or questions, please contact Beverley Lewis at b.eanne@cox.net.
